| CDP were awarded a contract in October 2003 to build the London Housing Capacity Study System (LHCSS)for the GLA. This browser based application enables the GLA to monitor and run spatial scenarios taking into account development sites and a variety of spatial map layers encompassing constraints as diverse as transport accessibility, floodrisk and pollution. The application is based on an Oracle 9i Spatial database and uses a Mapinfo MapXtreme mapping server. This browser based application uses Java Server Pages and the JAVA STRUTS application framework. The application went live in July 2004. CDP are currently developing a sophisticated modelling tool to enable GLA planners to perform 'what if' analyses on the collected potential site data. |
