Anthony Nolan Bone Marrow Trust   The Anthony Nolan Bone Marrow Trust (ANBMT) thought the outlook was gloomy when the original winner of the contract to build its new Donor Registry System delivered the analysis document several months late and the refused to build the system. This was in February 1999 with only ten months to go before their nonmillennium compliant Foxpro based system would fail. Having kept in touch with the trust since coming second in the original tender, CDP tendered once again. This time they were handed the challenge to build and deploy a system to match bone marrow donors to patients and automate the work of the trust's laboratories in only eight months with the absolute deadline of 31st December 1999.  [more...]

British Tourist Authority   Requirement Specification, User Profile, Publishing Project Management System Consultancy The British Tourist Authority (BTA) - Operating in 27 overseas markets, works in partnership with the national tourist boards in England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales to promote an attractive image of Britain. The Media Services department, identified the need for a project management system that would help improve co-ordination and communication between the internal departments and external suppliers. Legal Services Commission   Oracle Consultancy, Documentation, Support The Legal Services Commission is an executive non-departmental public body created under the Access to Justice Act 1999 to replace the Legal Aid Board. It is responsible for the development and administration of Community Legal Service and Criminal Defence Service schemes in England and Wales. SOLAR - Armenia   The Armenian Bone Marrow Donor Registry founded in July 1998 in Armenia is a non-profit organization. Although Armenians are considered Caucasian, their unique genetic make up makes it very hard for them to find matches for transplantation. To realize their mission, to save lives by creating a bone marrow donor registry, which with the volunteer recruitment of Armenian donors worldwide, will increase the pool of existing international donors and thus give a chance of survival to patients with Leukemia or other blood related diseases, a decision was made to adopt the successful software system, named SOLAR, delivered by CDP and used by the Anthony Nolan Bone Marrow Trust (ANBMT) in London and the Karaiskakio Foundation Cyprus. SOLAR - Cyprus   The Karaiskakio Foundation is a non-profit organisation established to organise The Cyprus Bone Marrow and Platelet Donor Registry. The mass donor drive for young leukemia sufferer Andreas Vassiliou helped raise the total number of blood samples in the foundation's lab from 6000 to nearly 80,000. Currently Cyprus ranks first in the world in the number of bone marrow donors per head of population. Given the Herculean task of processing so many donors and their samples the foundation came up trumps. However, they then faced a new challenge. How to search this information quickly and reliably to find potential donors for new leukemia patients. Their existing system was judged unable to meet the requirement. Therefore, they looked to see what the other longer established registries around the world were doing to tackle the same problem. After reflection and consultation with other registries the decision was taken to adopt the software system, named SOLAR, authored and developed by CDP and successfully used by the Anthony Nolan Bone Marrow Trust (ANBMT) in London and Armenian Bone Marrow Registry, Armenia. The task of rolling out the software for the Karaiskakio foundation was taken up by CDP. To offer total customer satisfaction, CDP dispatched a member of staff to Nicosia Cyprus to help roll out the SOLAR software system.  [more...]
